Qualifications: Services are free to all families with children birth through 22 years of age. To qualify for financial assistance for childcare, the child needs to be a U.S. citizen; parents/caretakers must work 20 hours or more per week, or be engaged in a work/training activity; need childcare in order to work; fall within the income guidelines based on household size. Juniata County Early Childhood Services

Qualifications: Juniata County Head Start/Early Head Start provides a variety of early childhood services to children and families in Juniata County. In Early Head Start, we provide home-based services to 42 infants and toddlers, including pregnant women. For pre-school services, we have 6 centers that offer either full-day or part-day services for children ages 3 to 5 in Juniata County and 1 in Perry County. These centers are a combination of Head Start and Pre-K Counts classrooms. Additionally, we provide home-based services through Parents as Teachers in Mifflin, Juniata and Perry Counties to families with children ages 3 to 5. We also have a home-based program in Mifflin and Juniata County called Parents as Teachers. There are no income guidelines to qualify for this program.
